International Summer Courses - Printmaking and Textile Art (PATA) have been organized by the the Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts Łódź in cooperation with International Art Centre KAUS Urbino since 2013. The courses, held in July and August in Łódź, gained international prestige and the Academy became one of the main centres of summer education in Europe and beyond. Participants from over 40 countries have chosen the courses to deepen their knowledge and practice their printmaking and textile art skills. Since their beginning, the courses have been dedicated to these artistic disciplines which brought fame to Łódź and the Academy. For this reason, in addition to printmaking and textile art it seemed consistent to incorporate classes in graphic design, comics, game and film pre – production. Each year the courses are conducted by experienced and recognized teachers from the Łódź Academy and invited foreign masters who share their knowledge and skills in their fields of expertise with course participants. The classes are held in well-equipped studios of the Academy. Each course ends with an exhibition of works realised during the event – the Final Show which is arranged in one of the Academy’s galleries. The classes are held in English and Polish. Each course entitles the participant to 3 ECTS credits. The course offer is addressed to both beginners and experienced artists.
