About the Academy
General information
The Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts Łódź is the best place for all those whose future lies in art and design. The academy’s attractive educational offer, excellent teachers and modern studios guarantee that students are well prepared for their career and will succeed on the increasingly competitive labour market.
Currently prospective students can choose from a broad spectrum of art and design courses on two faculties of the academy: the Faculty of Fine Arts and the Faculty of Design.
The Academy offers BA and MA study courses in new media, animation, textile and interior decoration, photography and multimedia, interior design, product design, sculpture, painting, graphics design and printmaking, art education in the field of visual arts and nationwide unique programmes in fashion design and jewellery. The institution’s offer also includes various postgraduate courses. Although the Academy does not run full-time programmes in English, foreign students can study here for one semester or a full academic year within the Erasmus+ Programme.
The Academy cooperates with more than 60 partner institutions within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme. It also organizes numerous international events. In 2019 it held the third edition of the Young Triennial of Textile Art. Every year it organizes the International Summer Courses of Printmaking and Textile Art – PATA, and international contests such as "Łódź Young Fashion Award”.
